ATA Gun Club and Youth Fund donors Our ATA Grand American program has its past champions listed. This year, for the first time, we will be listing our Champions of the Future. These will be separate pages to honor our generous donors who financially support the future of trapshooting with their donations to our Gun Club and Youth Funds. Donors will be listed in a special section in the Grand American program so they may be honored and remembered as we do our past champions. Like most of our shooting events it takes 100 to win. Likewise, it takes $100 as a minimum donation to be honored on our Champions of the Future pages. You can direct your tax deductible donation to the Gun Club Fund, which is used to aid clubs that have ATA registered tournaments or, the Youth Fund which funds our scholarships and AIM youth shooting program. To be named in the 2010 Grand American program we will need your donation by April 30, 2010 as the program needs to be finalized for printing. If you wish to make a large donation and time is an issue, please phone the ATA to declare your commitment and your place in the program will be secured. Donations will be listed based upon the amount of the donation. Levels are: Bronze $100-$499; Silver $500-$999; Gold $1000-$1999; Platinum $2000-$4999; and Grand Slam $5000 or more. Fund Descriptions Thank you for considering a donation to the ATA Gun Club Fund and/or ATA Youth and Education Fund for our new Champions of the Future initiative. To help with the decision of directing your contribution, here is a brief description of each fund and its intended purpose. ATA GUN CLUB FUND
These funds will be awarded to progressive ATA registered clubs or gun clubs that want to begin holding registered tournaments. The clubs will need to apply in writing with regards to how they will support the growth of registered trapshooting. The funds will be raised by the ATA and used by the clubs to improve their facilities, conduct more trapshooting events, or host programs to gain more members. ATA YOUTH AND EDUCATION FUND
These funds are used to promote and assist ATA youth programs such as AIM, ATA/NRA coach schools, youth scholarships, and youth shooter training and education. Funds will be used to organize, promote, and assist educational pursuits to encourage and attract the interest of youth shooting to our sport of registered trapshooting.As a donor you may designate your donation to go to one fund or the other or you may split your donation so that some of it goes to each fund. Since the ATA is an IRS approved and exempt nonprofit organization under IRC 501(c) (3), any donation you make is fully tax-deductible. After receipt of your donation the ATA will provide you with a thank you letter naming the fund you have donated to and the amount you have contributed. The letter will also give you the ATA’s tax number for your records for tax purposes.
