ATA Youth Recognition Award |
ATA Youth Recognition Award | The Amateur Trapshooting Association wishes to recognize youth under age 18 who take an active part in their community and the shooting sports through individual participation, educational pursuits, and accomplishments. To qualify, youth must complete seven core requirements and a minimum of seven elective requirements. Participants must obtain the signature of an adult leader and/or supply a copy of a certificate or card showing that the requirements have been met.
- Applications are to be postmarked on or before May 1 each year and should be mailed to ATA, Youth Recognition Award, 601 West National Road, Vandalia, OH 45377.
- The scholarship awards are made possible by a generous donation by Frank Brownell.
- Requirements completed prior to 2009 will be accepted. - Judges were selected primarily because they are active in youth trapshooting programs and also because they represent different geographic areas of North America.
- This award will not impact Olympic eligibility for any young international trapshooter per review by USA Shooting.
- Winners will be honored at the Grand American.
